Ali told Daystar Oracle that in July of this year, the Aloha Foundation organized two charitable events within the Nairobi CBD that saw the Foundation’s members share food and clothing with street kids.
The foundation however is expanding its horizon beyond just helping human beings.
“As a foundation, we are not just about helping people. We also focus on neglected animals in the society,” says Ali.
Thus, on 30th September of this year, Aloha was at the Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA) facility in Karen. Ali estimates that over 100 people volunteered for the event.
“We were able to come together and donate towards the animals’ shelter by equipping them (KSPCA) with more equipment such as dog & cat bowls, dog chains, cleaning equipment and cooking utensils which will assist them to continue taking care of the animals,” Ali said.
The foundation seeks to bring to light the plight of neglected and abused animals as they too deserve love and it is up to each and every one of us to show them that love.
“We will continue helping the neglected animals until we get to a point whereby there will be zero cases of neglected animals and we can do so, by leading by example and showing others how to treat animals with love and compassion.” – Ali
